The Murdock Trust has assembled an outstanding group of professionals who lead the activities of the Trust. In addition to the core team of executive, program, and administrative staff, the Trust engages a talented group of Senior Scholars, adjunct faculty and staff, interns, and advisors who assist in the management and implementation of the grant programs, enrichment programs, investment activities, and other work of the Trust.

Executive Director Steve Moore Shares His ObservationsDr. Steve Moore is the Executive Director of the Murdock Trust. As the organization’s chief executive officer, he is responsible for all programs and activities of the Trust. Steve joined the Trust in 2006. He observed in a recent interview…“I was first attracted to the Trust because I had met some of the Trustees and staff and knew them to be people of integrity and purpose. Second, I knew the Trust was concerned about areas around which I have a lot of passion and interest—higher education, arts and culture, faith-based organizations, leadership development, and the like. Third, it’s in an area of the country we had grown to love and knew to be a vibrant and vital region that has impact nationally and internationally.” “I am incredibly blessed to be part of an organization that is very healthy and very effective. My predecessor, Neal Thorpe, has done an outstanding job and continued to build on the excellence that has marked the Trust since its launch in 1975.
