The Messages Book Series

To honor the legacy of this region and those who have infused it with character and vitality, the Murdock Trust publishes five full-color publications featuring each of five Pacific Northwest states.

Over the years it has been our privilege to play a small part in the lives of a wide variety of nonprofit organizations by providing grants for special projects and programs.  Several years ago, as a special gift to our grantees, we began publishing a series of books that focuses on the five states in our grantmaking region: Messages from Oregon, Messages from Washington, Messages from Montana, Messages from Idaho and Messages from Alaska which are available to our grantees and other nonprofit organizations upon their request.  The books have been well received and much in demand.

Individuals, as well, have requested copies after seeing one, but we are not selling them since they were intended as gifts to the nonprofit sector of our region.  We will, however, provide copies to individuals with a donation to a charity of their choice, thereby fulfilling our goal of using the book for the benefit of nonprofit organizations.  Click here to order, or you may call 360-694-8415

	We began the series with Messages from Oregon, the state where Jack Murdock began his creative work at Tektronix, seeding the Trust’s endowment.
	The series continues with Messages from Washington, the state where Jack lived and established a Piper aircraft distributorship.
	The third in the series is Messages from Montana, a state draped over the continental divide like a saddle over a fine steed.
	The fourth publication is Messages from Alaska, focusing on the frontier state where so many of Jack’s Supercub planes were flown.
	The final book in the series is Messages from Idaho,whose cover serves as a reminder of that state’s fine trout species.
