Tours

Transportation and admission will be provided for the following tours. (Be prepared for both rain and sun so that you can enjoy your tour regardless of the weather.)

If you prefer not to take a tour, please note when registering online so that we can get an accurate count. We make tour reservations based on your responses and are financially committed to pay for the tour even if participants cancel at the last minute.

San Diego Zoo

12:30pm - 5:00pm

This excursion includes a guided bus tour by a member of the Zoo's education staff, focusing on the care, housing, and feeding of zoo animals in near-natural settings at this 100-acre park. Time will also be provided for your independent exploration of the zoo.

The Midway, San Diego Aircraft Carrier Museum

Live the adventure, honor the legend aboard the longest-serving aircraft carrier in U. S. Navy history-a 47-year odyssey that spanned the end of WWII and the liberation of Kuwait in 1991! The Midway provides a dynamic and enriching experience "from boiler to bridge." Self-guided audio tours feature Midway veterans who share their stories of living and working aboard a massive aircraft carrier. The museum includes 40 exhibits and 21 restored aircraft. Visitors have access to engineering, mess deck, berthing spaces, foc's'le, hangar deck, officers country, flight deck, and the island superstructure.

SeaWorld

12:15pm - 5:00pm

A behind-the-scenes tour will be led by a member of the education staff of SeaWorld. Visitors will learn about animal care and research and will see how unusual and rare animals are handled. Free time will be available to walk the facility and view the attractions.
