Focused Program Grants in Science
Murdock College Research Program for Life Sciences
This program is designed to support research in the life sciences at private, predominantly undergraduate colleges and universities in the Trust’s funding region. Eligible institutions must offer a baccalaureate degree, but not a doctoral degree, in the sciences. Principal investigators must hold a faculty appointment in a department of biology or one identified by a traditional subfield of biology. The program was introduced in 1997.
To find out more about applying for this program, please download the Guidelines for Life Sciences Grants information. The application process differs from that of the General Grants program, so please read the instructions thoroughly. There is one proposal cycle per year with a deadline of October 1 for completed applications.
The Application form and the Instructions and Checklist information may be downloaded. Please read these documents carefully before you prepare and submit the complete application (form and all necessary supporting documentation as indicated in the Checklist) as attachments to an email addressed to app@murdock‐trust.org. The subject line of the email should read as follows: Application Life Sciences: (Principal Investigator’s First and Last name). For institutions making multiple applications, each complete proposal must be submitted separately.
