Fundraising & Capacity Building
Advanced Development Seminars
The Advanced Development Seminar helps large non-profit organizations improve their fundraising and capacity-building efforts. Each year, a group of about five organizations is invited by the Trust to participate in the program. Organizations bring their leaders and development staff to a series of workshops in Vancouver, Washington.
Building on the principles taught in the Essentials of Development seminar, participants are taught to implement a strategy of donor development that cultivates a growing number of major donors. Learning how to cultivate and solicit donors through the use of an annual campaign helps organizations maximize their time, staff, and board.
The program includes a two-day opening session, a one-day follow-up session, and a field day. Each organization is expected to complete several strategic action step assignments prior to the follow-up session.
Seminars are led by a nationally known development consulting team.
